My Sentiment About Twilight

Twilight is a grossing movie. It skillfully incorporates vampire, love and science fiction .New York Times review this movie as "Full of love the futhure of tension, but elegant refined as Jane Austen ,reached the a kind of acme of romance novel."

It tells a heartbreaking love story between a high school student Bella and a handsome vampire Edward. They are from strangers to be acquainted with each other then finally be loved. They went through the pain which ordinary people can't imagine. This full of science fiction color's love film interpret us the great power of through the view that distinguished from humans, which is also the writer want to show us "Love is the best part of a story".

Let me talk about the scene when I was watching it. The open piece is an animal in the running of the lens, and it doesn't matter about the vampire in the introduction. I was confused about all sorts of strange behavior as the heroine. Why did it happen? So I continued watching with a security. Foreigners face are white so everyone looks like a

vampire . Incomparable contours of the face, eyes like a mirror in which has the magic of free from vulgarity. Constantly insight of people, like a magnet for all people are unable to resist the beauty. I was shocked by their beauty.

Overall, I enjoyed Twilight for what it was - a romance that probed

the timeless dilemma of wanting what you can't have. It makes for an interesting, compelling story, and I expect more from the sequels, because the potential is certainly there.

if you’re a vampire, it’s all about you. why is edward cullen obsessed to the point of erotomania by bella swan? because she smells so yummy, but he doesn’t want to kill her. here’s what he tells her: he must not be around her. he might sink his fangs in just a little, and not be able to stop. she finds this overwhelmingly attractive. she tells him he is the most beautiful thing she has ever seen. i don’t remember edward ever saying that to her. maybe once. he keeps on saying they should stay far, far apart, because he craves her so much.

if there were no vampires in twilight, it would be a thin-blooded teenage

romance, about two good-looking kids who want each other so much because they want each other so much. sometimes thats all its about, isnt it? theyre in love with being in love. in twilight, however, they have a seductive disagreement about whether he should kill her. shes like, i dont especially want to die, but if thats what it takes, count me in. she is touched by his devotion. think what a sacrifice he is making on her behalf. on prom night, on the stage of the not

especially private gazebo in the public gardens, he teeters right on the brink of a fang job, and then brings all of her trembling to a dead stand-still.

the movie is lush and beautiful, and the actors are well-chosen. you may recall robert pattinson (edward) as cedric diggory, who on voldemorts orders was murdered in a graveyard in harry potter and the goblet of fire. maybe he was already a vampire. pattinson is not unaware of how handsome he is. when bella and edward, still strangers, exchange stern and burning looks in the school cafeteria, he transfixes her with a dark and glowering - nay, penetrating - stare. i checked

pattinson out on google images and found he almost always glowers at the camera neath shadowed brow. kristen stewarts bella, on the other hand, is a fresh-faced innocent who is totally undefended against his voltage.

district serving the whole table setting. the main local normal kid is a nice sandy-haired boy who asks bella to the prom. hes out of his depth here, unless he can

transmogrify into a grizzly. also there are four grey-bearded coots at the next table in the local diner, who eavesdrop and exchange significant glances and get big, significant close-ups but are still just sitting significantly nodding, for all i know. edward has the ability to move as swiftly as superman. like him he can stop a runaway pickup with one arm. he rescues bella twice that i remember, maybe because he truly loves her, maybe because hes saving her for later. she has

questions. how did you appear out of nowhere and stop that truck? well might she ask. when he finally explains that he is a vampire, he goes up from 8 to 10 on her erotometer. why do girls always prefer the distant, aloof, handsome, dangerous dudes instead of cheerful chaps like me?

the movie, based on the stephenie meyer novel, was directed by catherine hardwicke. she uses her great discovery, nikki reed, in the role of the beautiful rosalie hale. reed wrote hardwicks thirteen (2003) when she was only 14. that was a movie that knew a lot more about teenage girls. the girl played by reed in that movie would make mincemeat of edward. but i understand who twilight appeals to, and it sure will. joe morgenstern

to preface this review, i read all four twilight books in one weekend (last weekend, actually) when i picked the first one up at the airport, and could not put it down. i zipped through the other three and went to the midnight screening on opening day. to say the least, i was captivated by twilight (and im in my 20s...).

overall, the film was better than i expected (based on previews, i expected it to be extremely cheesy, low-budget, and awkwardly filmed). it definitely grew on me as it went on, especially pattinsons performance. his introduction was extremely awkward - not sure if that was hardwickes fault or pattinsons acting. in any case, as soon as he settled into his character, he was absolutely captivating. stewart plays a great brooder, and she certainly did that here. i loved the scenes with her father; in my opinion, these were some of the gems of the movie.

篇三:暮光之城读后感英文

A vampire book—Twilight

This term I read a book named Twilight, which tells us a love story about a human girl and a vampire family. In the book, a girl named Bella moves to a small town, Forks, which almost rains whole year, to live with her father. At first, she resists everything new, preferring staying at her small word. However, when a gentle attractive boy, Edward comes in her eyes, she feels something different. She starts to fix her eyes on him, on the other side, the boy seems to be angry with her, avoiding her, showing ignorance and performing rudely. Bella has no choice but act like normal person, but where she is, where the bad luck is. However, every time she is in trouble, Edward appears and protects her. This makes her even curious. Relaying her sensitive observation, she finally finds Edward is a vampire! With the secret, she talks to Edward and she finally put all burden and falls in love with Edward. Then they start a completely different and meaning life.

About the book

The part which I was impressed most is Bella and Edward’s heart-to-heart talk. Even Bella knows he is a vampire and he has the eve sides which can kill her in a second, she doesn’t afraid because she believes he has something in good. Like she believed, Edward has guilt to his identity so he makes a life by drinking the animals’ blood. It is Bella’s

kindness and trust that help her gain her love and happiness.

I most moved part is the family love and I consider it to be scarify. When Bella’s smell raise a vampire hunter attention, which means she is in big danger. The whole family are ready to fight, even that means to die. The moment Bella leaves the town, Edward’s sister whispers to her “we’ll protect you whatever it takes.”

About the language

The book not only helps me enlarge my vocabulary but also show me more oral English: for instant, when a man always says everything is ok, we can call him Mr. So far so good. And when we have some books, we can say I have quantities books. Now, I can say there are so many books in my ears.

Read the book, I also learn the culture in different country. When something bad happens, our Chinese people often ask what happen or say something inspiring. But in America, people always say I was sorry and say little word or nothing more.

In short, Twilight is a wonderful book to read.
